Let's travel together #48 - The Red Ravine (Râpa Roșie)

image

We will start today's trip with a special place, something a little different than the places I showed you lately. The gem you see in the picture above is called **The Red Ravine**, also known as *The Little Canyon from Romania*, which is hidden in a place close to **Sebeş, Alba County, Romania.** 📍

How this place appeared? ✴️

**The Red Ravine** appeared after a crash of soils which left behind nothing else but a beautiful canyon which can be compared with *The Grand Canyon* from SUA. The interesting colour of this little canyon is created by its structure - red clays. **Sounds familiar?** A while ago I've written an article about **The Rusty Pit** which also have red clays in its composition. 🎴

Both **The Red Ravine** and **The Rusty Pit** are a treasure for *Romania* offering some special effects when it's raining being seen as little *bloody rivers* flowing on the rocks. In plus, a torrential rain can change the dimension and the aspect of the *styled pyramids* from **The Red Ravine.** 👀

The way to The Red Ravine? 🐾

You can get close enough to this place by driving the car so it's not really hard to get to see them, but I would suggest you to also take the scenic route through the nature up to the bloody rocks. ☘️

We will begin our little adventure with a walk of about **10mins** into the forest and then you literally have to climb the valley so you can reach **The Rusty Pit**. **The beautiful canyon** requests a lot of effort from the tourists as mounting the valley it sure is not easy, the area being very inclined with a high risk of slipping in every moment. 🌄

Ok, how we return now? 🔙

Well, we can either descend the valley or we can find other route. Personally I would suggest you to go down to the forest and then take a walk on the corridors dug by the water rather than following the same path we used when we came here. **(It's very RISKY!!)** ⚠️

*I know I promised to @velveteendream53 that I will talk about this place a while ago, I'm sorry it took so long and I hope you enjoyed the pics.* ❤️

**As always I hope that I impressed you with another place that we discovered together in today's trip and NEVER stop exploring! The nature has so many treasures to be discovered.** 😍
