Gods Unchained - Review - Is Divine Order Any Good?
WELCOME
Gods Unchained dropped their latest expansion Divine Order about 3 weeks ago! It is the first GU card set with no set limit as to how many can be bought. As it is also the first time, I have every participated in a set launch by gods unchained I hope to give you some things to consider.
ART: [10/10]
If you are in the NFT Gaming space, there really is no comparison in art between Gods Unchained and any other game. The quality is outstanding, the artwork is super memorable. Gods Unchained has always had outstanding and Divine Order has not let us down. My favorite piece of hard has been the Echoing fury its looks sick. lets hope the keep the quality up for future releases.
BALANCE: [7/10]
- Balance is always a touchy subject, but no one can deny that at launch cards like Rolling Thunder were completely unbalanced and were quickly nerfed (The set’s balance has gotten a lot better after the most recent update).
- I am excited to see common cards like Bronze Gate, StoneSkin Poison, and Watchful Hound which had a good mix of power and balance. There are still some more balanced changes I hope to see made in the future but it's a good start.
COST: [10/10]
- This set is fantastically affordable. The most expensive card from the set is currently only $32 USD (Polyhymnia) while the cheaper commons go for as low as $.04 USD.
- This is great if you are looking to round out a solid F2P deck with a few Divine Order cards or if you are looking to complete a play set.
- Divine Order cards are an absolute steal when compared to sets like Genesis and Trial Of The Gods
Packs:
- Opening packs is always a gamble, you are almost guaranteed to lose money.
- Even with the discount still active, it still does not make financial sense to open packs if your goal is to complete a play set.

CONCLUSION:
Overall, [9/10] “It’s a damn good set” I really enjoy playing GU after the changes made in this update. There is still a lot of work to be done as far as polishing the gameplay and adjusting some of the card balances, but it looks like most of the heavy lifting has been done. I look forward to the minor tweaks they have planned especially Ward 2.0 which are on the horizon. **Hint** there might be and blog post on that in the future.
Thanks for reading.
All criticism is welcomed. I want to hear what you think!
